When I am gone

When I am gone
what memories would remain?
who would remember me?

When I am gone
what would be my lasting legacy?
who would receive my most precious gift?

When I am gone
what would be the balance of my actions?
was my presence in the world worthy?

Flowers have a limited lifespan
they do not have much time around
but they are beautiful and bring
love, comfort, and captivating scents.

But most importantly, 
their purpose and transcendence lie in this brief period, 
with the ultimate goal of producing fruits.
